Education is the pivot on which everything turns I believe.
As an important part of my PhD research ánd as a teacher, Hammond program leader and education developer at Codarts, the University for the Arts in Rotterdam, I try to connect education to the music world in practise. This means that the partnerships between several educational institutions and members of the creative industry like the Hammond Suzuki Corporation work together to design education for young professional players, keyboardists in every style and age in the amateur circuit, the use of Hammond sounds by producers and DJ's (often using software like Ableton Live).
Codarts already started to implement a more structured and prominent place for educating Hammond and even has the option for a Hammond profile as a part of their popkeyboard studies. Experiments in designing new courses of blended learning (making use of technology and exploring new educational approaches) are integrated in this vision and I'm proud to be strongly involved in these developments.
This page will tell you all about future developments on professional and amateur level, partnerships and (online) content, a series of lecture & concerts and much more. Also i'd like to give room at my Hammond students of whom I believe they all will be recognized soon as very talented and original musicians.
Check the links to this young cats! Their personal grow from talent to professional will also be a part of my research.
