World of Hammond organ

EXPLORE THE WORLD OF HAMMOND ORGAN MUSIC, EDUCATION & RESEARCH. IT'S MY AMBITION TO GIVE THE HAMMOND A BREEDING GROUND IN USE, SOUND & TRADITION

Some music of my earlier projects. Feel free to share & download.

A few years between two cd projects because of my focus on management and education, But with the great new Voices of Soul line up, strong rhythmsection and a team of technicians we produced an entire new album at my studio, followed by an extensive tour in 2012 and 2013. The Paradiso, Amsterdam release party was a blast and the album received very positive reviews.

Line up with Marnix Stassen, Jordi Geuens, Eelke Mastenbroek and the Voices of Soul: Shirma Rouse, Raquel Brown, Shirley Spoor, Laise Sanchez, Jordy van Toornburg and Ricardo Burgrust. Guest appearances by Chance Howard, Michel van Schie, Ronald Kool, Leendert Haaksma and Thomas Bank. Remix by Simon Akkermans en my tech Theo Janssen (recording & mixing), mastered by Sander van der Heide.

This was an exciting trip in my brand new studio: would it work and could I produce a professional album? We worked very hard on the result and were very excited with the RED Bullet contract for this release.

O'BEAT was the first album that I wrote and produced myself. I was offered the chance by my publisher PEER MUSIC to record and mix for 5 weeks in the great Belgian Studio Schelle (great sound, best engineers Guido Maes and Peter Bulkens). also a live track from the Ronnie Scott Jazz Club in London with special guest Candy Dulfer was included. O'BEAT carries the inspiration of Quincy Jones in its music. Although the album did not reach the national charts, it sold so many live copies that it would reach a platinum status nowadays!

First Moves was a re-release of my graduation at the Rotterdam Conservatory in 1988, graduated cum laude by organising the first sponsored final exam in the Netherlands. It was live broadcasted at Dutch national radio. The re-release was part of a three cd box with O'BEAT and Organtasy.
